Google-owned online television service YouTube TV Dec. 12 disclosed it is raising the service’s base monthly subscription price $10 to $82.99 for new subscribers, with the price hike affecting the platform’s existing 8 million subs in January.
“The new price will go into effect today for new members; existing members will see the updated price reflected in their next billing cycle on or after Jan 13,” the company said in a statement. “We don’t take these pricing decisions lightly, and we give all members the flexibility to cancel their membership at any time.”
The price hike is the second since March 2023, when Google upped the monthly YouTube TV fee from $64.99 to $72.99.
