MEDIA MELTDOWN OVER TIM POOL’S WHITE HOUSE ACCESS!
It’s happening again, folks. Ever since Tim Pool and the Timcast crew received White House press credentials, the mainstream media has gone into overdrive with their attacks. Remember the absolute outrage when the announcement was made? Well, now outlets like The Independent are digging up old, tired accusations in a clear smear campaign. It’s unbelievable!
One of the main points of contention they’re bringing up again is the ridiculous claim that Tim unknowingly took Russian money. But let’s be real – as Tim himself has pointed out, there’s no actual proof of this. He hasn’t been arrested, hasn’t even been named a suspect, and the FBI even referred to him as a victim in the situation.
These so-called “journalists” are conveniently ignoring the fact that Tim has openly questioned whether he was actually duped by any Russian propaganda operation. He has stated that the Department of Justice hasn’t presented any concrete evidence to back their allegations. As far as we can tell, nobody has been jailed over this, and there was never any indication that these individuals directed Tim to create specific content.
They keep referencing this DOJ indictment alleging that two Russian state media producers used fake identities to funnel millions into the video outlet Tenant, which hired Tim and other conservative voices. While the indictment was unsealed last September, painting Tim, Dave Rubin, and Benny Johnson as victims of deception, the narrative now seems to be shifting. Tim is now suggesting that the evidence of him unwittingly receiving $100,000 a week from this alleged Russian influence operation is weak at best, and possibly false.
Tim has explained that the amount he was paid by Tenant was inconsequential to him and his company, describing the deal as minor and stating that Timcast was already expanding its operations. He also noted that the amount was market rate for someone of his stature, with general ad reads costing tens of thousands of dollars.
It’s also important to remember, as even right-wing extremism researcher Jared Holt acknowledges, that the government hasn’t proven its claims in court. The two Russia Today employees named in the indictment are based in Moscow, making extradition highly unlikely.
The timing of these renewed attacks is certainly suspect. As Holt himself noted, the real reason behind this sudden surge of negative press seems to be that Timcast has gained access to the White House press pool. That’s right, they waited until the very last sentence to reveal their true motivation: jealousy. Outlets like Gizmodo are openly complaining about who the government considers “real journalists,” seemingly upset that someone like Tim Pool now has access they may not.
The White House has even established what they call “Podcast Row,” a new way for creators to engage with government officials and stream live from the White House. They even posted on Instagram celebrating the viewership numbers compared to legacy media.
Meanwhile, the outrage from the old guard continues. A reporter from The Bulwark even tweeted their concern about Tim being part of the press pool. But let’s be honest, many of these individuals pushing these narratives have been pushing their own agendas for years.
Congratulations to Tim and the entire Timcast crew on this significant achievement. It’s clear that the establishment media is rattled by your growing influence and reach. Keep doing what you’re doing!
