Chris Rock returned to host Saturday Night Live for the fourth time, delivering a sharp and funny monologue that poked fun at President Joe Biden’s recent pardon of his son, Hunter.
On the Christmas-decorated stage at 30 Rock, Rock, a former SNL cast member, kicked off his 7-minute set by commenting on the state of the news.
“There’s a lot going on out there. My God, it’s crazy,” he said.
He then got to the headline everyone was talking about: “Joe Biden pardoned his son,” Rock joked. “I gotta hand it to Joe—he doesn’t move as fast, doesn’t talk as fast as he used to… but that middle finger still works!”
Rock added with a grin, “Only an animal wouldn’t pardon their kid. Every parent in the world would pardon their son… except the parents of the Menendez Brothers.”
Interestingly, Rock avoided mentioning the infamous Oscars slap from 2022, when Will Smith hit him on live TV after a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith.
Chris Rock was part of the SNL cast from 1990 to 1993, performing alongside comedy legends like Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, Phil Hartman, and David Spade.
