Since She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’s series launch it has faced its fair share of controversy, due in part to its feminist messages and vastly different approach to storytelling from anything previously seen in the MCU.
Recently, Titania actress Jameela Jamil took to Twitter to share another video of herself in character as the villain in New York City’s Times Square. She’s been having a lot of fun playing this character outside of the MCU, but there were those who couldn’t resist taking a stab at the show and Jamil.
As you can see below, the actress wasted no time firing back, but did point out that dealing with some of the commentary surrounding She-Hulk: Attorney at Law from some male viewers has grown tiresome.
“I am toxic? You randomly were rude to me online without knowing me. You are toxic,” Jamil says. “A woman politely responding to your rudeness is toxic? You need our show, because it highlights your type of behavior. Some men are exhausting for women to deal with and have no accountability.”
When another user shared their disappointment with the Disney+ series, she responded: “Dude who cares? I got to live my dream and be in a Marvel project and go to events where I got to meet all my Favourite Marvel stars and talk to them about their movies, and I got PAID?! My cup is FULL. But how is your life going?”
The penultimate episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is set to arrive on Disney+ this Thursday and is expected to finally feature Charlie Cox’s long-awaited return as Daredevil.
