According to EscenialSports:
Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson is the most prominent content creator on the platform, thanks to his crazy big-budget videos. The 24- year-old gets millions of views on his videos and has over 107 million subscribers on his channel.
But aside from content creation, the 24-year-old has also made a name for himself as a philanthropist. He has helped many needful people and even dedicated a channel to his charity work. But recently, a video went viral where he didn’t go to a grocery stop where he was supposed to do a “small acts of kindness.”
A video of a Piggly Wiggly grocery store went viral that said, “MrBeast wrong af for telling them last minute.” In that video, an employee notified a massive crowd of people with their groceries that MrBeast couldn’t come there for security reasons.
So, the 24-year-old was supposed to visit that grocery store and pay for the groceries of people who came there to buy. And it was supposed to be a video for his YouTube channel, possibly his philanthropic channel – Beast Philanthropy.
Undoubtedly, it paints MrBeast badly for ditching out of a philanthropic act at the last moment. But the internet personality Keem Star later presented the truth. He shared the text message from the YouTube star explaining the situation and his reason for canceling the plan.
MrBeast revealed wanting to go there discretely to do “small acts of kindness for people who could use help.” He would have paid for some people’s groceries when they checked out. Further, he was supposed to shoot it and took permission from the Piggly Wiggly manager for it. But the Piggly Wiggly employees advertised his coming for more sales.
The YouTube star said, “They decided to spread the word far and wide that I was coming to buy out the store. People were saying that the employees were telling them the day before to come the next day to get free stuff from MrBeast (which we were not aware of and asked them not to tell anyone). Basically, the employees lied to people.”
