Grieving Father Brutally Attacked in Broad Daylight – The Media is SILENT! Jacob Couch Needs Our Help!
Folks, you’re not going to believe this. It’s another day, and another absolutely horrific story has unfolded where an innocent person has been violently attacked for seemingly no reason whatsoever. We’re talking about Jacob Couch and his wife Kristen, who were traveling back home to Alabama after spending nearly a year in Los Angeles, trying to cope with the unspeakable loss of their stillborn son. They thought a change of scenery might help them grieve, but instead, they were met with unimaginable violence.
As Kristen recounts, the stunning attack on her husband was completely unprovoked. They were simply sitting at a bus bench on Broadway and 6th in Tucson. Jacob bent down to get their belongings, and out of nowhere, a deranged man came up behind him and swung a hatchet, walking away after the blow. The impact was devastating, severing an artery in Jacob’s neck, and he is now tragically on life support. Things are not looking good, and his family has arrived in Tucson.
Three days after this senseless act, police arrested Daniel Michael, a 25-year-old Tucson man. Initially, he denied involvement, but he later reportedly admitted to the attack, telling investigators that he had been heavily drinking and thought Jacob was using drugs, so he “chopped his head off”. He is now being held on a $1 million bond. Documents state that a search warrant of Michael’s apartment found a hatchet and clothes worn during the incident. Video surveillance captured the suspect calmly walking away from the scene.
This is the kind of story you likely won’t see covered in the mainstream media. It’s absolutely infuriating. Jacob’s wife Kristen and his younger brother Luke are trying to bring light to who Jacob was – a sweet soul, a good brother, a good father, and a good husband who did not deserve this. They are understandably devastated and hope no one else has to experience such a horrific crime.
It’s unbelievable, but initially, there didn’t seem to be any fundraising efforts underway for Jacob and his family. I was shocked. While others receive significant attention and financial support, here was an innocent man, nearly decapitated in front of his wife, and there was nothing on GoFundMe.

This attack, this senseless violence in broad daylight, it feels like something is seriously wrong. People are getting sick of this kind of thing happening in our cities. It’s just not safe anymore when innocent people can be attacked like this for simply existing. The suspect in this case has his first court hearing later this month. We need to ensure that justice is served and that this man does not walk free. His claim of being drunk is no excuse for such a heinous act.
