The D.C. Arts Center, located in the Adams Morgan restaurant and nightclub district in Northwest, Washington, D.C., canceled a comedy show by Alex Stein set for Thursday night over Stein’s heckling of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) on the steps of the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.
Stein informed his fans about the cancellation, saying that he would instead perform at the Capitol at 9:30 p.m. EDT Thursday.
“Omg @AOC got the @dcartscenter to Cancel my Comedy Show tonight! Full refund for the people that bought Tickets! If you still want to see me perform come to The Capitol tonight at 9:30pm!”
Leftist reporter Pablo Manriquez, who interviewed Ocasio-Cortez Wednesday night after the heckling, reported on the D.C. Arts Center’s statement:
SCOOP: DC Arts Center, the venue where racist troll Alex Stein was scheduled to give his comedy routine, has cancelled tonite’s performance after Stein sexually harassed @AOC yesterday on the House steps…Statement from DC Arts Center: In light of recent events brought to our attention, and our inability as a small non-profit to provide the level of security…we have made the decision to cancel tonight’s performance.”
