Woke Snow TANKS MORE! 67% DROP IN SALES & $200 Million Loss CONFIRMED Rachel Zegler CAREER OVER!
What’s going on everyone, Jeremy here from TheQuartering! Could this be it? Could this finally be the final nail in the coffin for Disney and their mission to destroy everything wholesome from our childhood and inject it with modern ideologies and modern politics? Well, the latest headlines after the second week in the box office are absolutely brutal. Our coverage was right on the money: Snow White is suffering the worst humiliation yet after this woke Rachel Zegler remake has now tanked at the box office with ticket sales plummeting nearly 70% in the second weekend. This is far worse than they could have hoped, and it proves that this disaster of a film will not get the legs it needs to be anywhere near profitable, confirming a multi-million dollar loss.
The woke Rachel Zegler remake of Snow White has reached a humiliating new low after failing to ignite at the box office. The live-action remake of the 1937 classic cartoon has earned a dubious new honor with the current lowest IMDb rating of all time: a pathetic 1.6 out of 10 with over 270 reviews. To put that into perspective, the current five lowest-rated movies on IMDb charts include cinematic masterpieces like Disaster Movie with a 1.9, Manos the Hands of Fate with a 1.7, and even Kirk Cameron Saving Christmas with a 1.3. Our Snow White remake is scraping the bottom of the barrel!
This abysmal performance comes amid news that Snow White suffered a steep 66.4% fall at the weekend box office, grossing just $14.2 million. This is even steeper than the drop experienced by Dumbo and Maleficent movies. Last week, the film hit the number one spot with a disappointing $43 million domestic gross, but it’s all downhill from here. Since its release, starring Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as the evil queen, the film has grossed a total of just $66 million domestically.
The perfect storm of bad ideas appears to have begun with the Zegler casting back in 2021. While Disney heralded the choice as progressive, many saw it as another instance of Hollywood’s woke agenda. The backlash intensified when Zegler, in a since-deleted tweet, wrote, “Yes I am Snow White no I am not bleaching my skin for the role”. But it wasn’t just the casting; Zegler also criticized the original 1937 animated predecessor, dismissing its themes of true love and Prince Charming as weird and outdated. Can you imagine if Margot Robbie had said Barbie sucks? Exactly! This is why this movie failed; it was 100% because of Rachel Zegler. She is box office poison, and they doubled and tripled down on it.
Adding to the controversy, the film’s title conspicuously drops any reference to the seven dwarves, and for good reason. Disney promised a “different approach,” and in this final film, the dwarves are reimagined as CGI-created magical gnomes and are not portrayed by actors with dwarfism. Furthermore, Zegler showed her unwavering support for Palestine amid the assault on Gaza, even signaling off social media posts with “free Palestine”—underneath the Snow White trailer!.
Snow White reportedly cost over $200 million to produce, according to Forbes. The total box office is forecast to reach around $100 million domestically, which is worse than the $115 million gross of Dumbo. When you factor in marketing, which pushed the total expenses to $410 million, this thing is confirmed to lose more than $200 million. There is simply a 0% chance of Disney recouping these losses through home entertainment or streaming.
So, what does this all mean? We think it’s pretty safe at this point to say that Rachel Zegler’s career in big box office films is cooked. Nobody’s going to want to touch the bad press that comes with this. They might have pegged her for that Avita movie, but that was before this box office disaster. Disney even had to hire an emergency social media manager, and the film’s marketing was abruptly subdued with no red carpet interviews at the Hollywood premiere and limited press invitations at its European debut. Even Zegler and co-star Gal Gadot were notably absent from press junkets. To see Westside Story breakout star Zegler reduced to releasing a cover of a Shrek the Musical song because she has “no creativity” is truly telling. That’s where her career is right now: Shrek song remakes.
The question now is, will Disney actually learn from this?. We certainly hope so. Make sure to leave a like on this video if you agree, and subscribe for more hard-hitting truths! We’ll talk to you again real soon.
