Senator JD Vance’s appearance on one of the nation’s biggest podcasts, The Joe Rogan Experience, is expected to air within hours. Donald Trump’s running mate filmed the interview Wednesday in Rogan’s studio in Austin, Texas, a Vance spokesperson said. Rogan’s team, which reportedly does minimal editing, typically publish podcast episodes quickly, often the same day as taping. Vance’s interview comes after Trump’s appearance on the podcast, which has already had more than 40 million views. Despite its high views, former UFC commentator Rogan has accused YouTube of “censoring” the podcast after technical issues meant that it did not appear in search results when first posted, and it was not in YouTube’s trending despite being highly viewed. “There’s no way it was a mistake, that’s too convenient,” Rogan later said. “You can’t suppress s***, it doesn’t work. This is the internet, this is 2024, people are going to realize.”
Tim Walz warned today that the Trump administration would immediately repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
“Mike Johnson just said they’re going to repeal the Affordable Care Act if Trump is elected,” Walz said at a campaign event today.
“The Affordable Care Act protects people with preexisting conditions. They tried to repeal it before and they’re going to try to repeal it again.”
Walz was speaking after House Speaker Mike Johnson suggested that the ACA, commonly known as Obamacare, could be abolished if Trump wins.
At a rally in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on Monday, Johnson said health care reform would be a “big part of the agenda” for a second Trump presidency.
One event attendee asked Johnson, “No Obamacare?” The speaker replied: “No Obamacare. The ACA is so deeply ingrained, we need massive reform to make this work, and we got a lot of ideas on how to do that.”
